Title:
EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE OF DIESEL ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3487246
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for a diesel engine, capable of avoiding the increase of exhaust HC and the HC poisoning of a catalyst regardless of the operating condition of the diesel engine.
SOLUTION: This device has an NOx catalyst formed in an exhaust pipe 31 for purifying the exhaust gas exhausted after burning an engine fuel and used for reducing NOx contained in the exhaust gas by using a reducing agent reducing agent feed devices 35, 37 disposed on the upstream side of the NOx catalyst and used for feeding the reducing agent to the NOx catalyst, a PM catching device positioned on the upstream side of the NOx catalyst and used for catching the PM of the exhaust gas, an ECU 11 which is a PM-catching state detection means for detecting the catching state of the PM caught by the ECU 11 as the PM catching device, and the ECU 11 as a reducing agent addition quantity correcting means for correcting the addition quantity of the reducing agent to the NOx catalyst by the reducing agent feeding devices, based on the catching state of the PM detected by the PM catching state detection means.
