Abstract:
To make a proper quantity of exhaust emission back-flow when after- injection control is performed to discharge NOx from NOx trap material in an engine for which the quantity of exhaust emission back flowing is feedback- controlled based on the change of the concentration of the oxygen in exhaust emission to obtain a target air-fuel ratio.
During the control of after-injection, the quantity of exhaust emission back-flowing is increased by lowering a target value A/Fref for feedback-control, on the other hand, during a specified period T1a from the start of the after-injection control, feedback control is restrained to reduce the quantity of feed back operation.
