Abstract:
To improve exhaust emission control performance of an internal combustion engine (diesel engine).
An operation point of the diesel engine loaded on a parallel hybrid vehicle is set in a self-regeneration possible region II by purifying a PM caught by a DPF(diesel particulate filter) arranged in an exhaust passage in continuous combustion using NO2 generated by the oxidation of an oxidation catalyst arranged in the upstream of the DPF in a region in which the operation of the diesel engine is demanded.
