Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine, for more efficiently reducing NOx to be exhausted by the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for the internal combustion engine includes a storage medium for storing NOx, storage means for allowing the NOx contained in exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine to be stored in the storage medium, supply means for supplying the NOx stored in the storage medium into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, detection means for detecting the revolving speed and torque of the internal combustion engine, and control means for controlling the amount of the NOx to be supplied to the combustion chamber, finding an eliminating rate showing a difference obtained by subtracting the amount of the NOx to be exhausted by the internal combustion engine from the amount of the NOx to be supplied to the combustion chamber on the basis of the amount of the NOx to be supplied to the combustion chamber and the revolving speed and torque of the internal combustion engine, and controlling the supply means to supply the NOx stored in the storage medium to the combustion chamber when the eliminating rate is not lower than 0%.
