Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat NOx in exhaust gas using an engine.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device includes a NOx trapping device 2 using medium for trapping NOx from exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine 1 to obtain NOx trapped medium, a NOx storage tank 3 for storing the obtained trapped medium, an addition device 4 for adding the trapped medium in the NOx storage tank via an intake system for the internal combustion engine or directly into a combustion cylinder of the internal combustion engine, an addition site state detection device 5 for detecting the state of an addition site where the trapped medium is added by the NOx trapped medium addition device, and a controller 6 for controlling an addition timing for the trapped medium depending on the detected state of the addition site.
