Abstract:
To provide an exhaust emission control device 20 and a control method of the exhaust emission control device 20 capable of detecting a water adsorption amount of a water trap material 2 disposed at an upstream side of a methane oxidation catalyst 1, and properly notifying an occupant of a timing of its regeneration processing or replacement.SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device 20 has: an exhaust flow channel F1 in which an exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine 10 is circulated; the methane oxidation catalyst 1 disposed in the exhaust flow channel F1; the water trap material 2 disposed at an upstream side of the methane oxidation catalyst 1 in the exhaust flow channel F1; and a mass measurement device 3 detecting mass change of the water trap material 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
