To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of preventing melting of an exhaust purifying filter while restraining problems occurring due to increase of the exhaust flow rate.
In the DPF regeneration control process, in the case the PM accumulation amount QPM is larger than a first determination amount M1 while the engine is in an idle operation state during execution of a filter regeneration drive, the idling speed is made higher than that in an ordinary idle operation by executing an idle-up control. In the case the PM accumulation amount QPM is larger than a second determination amount M2 larger than the first determination amount M1, a control for increasing the flow rate of the exhaust flowing into the DPF is carried out by execution of an exhaust flow rate increase control in addition to the operation for making higher the idling speed than that in an ordinary idling operation by an idle-up control.
