Abstract:
To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of promoting cooling of a catalyst when a temperature of the catalyst is high.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 10 includes an exhaust emission control catalyst 20, specific piping 55, a valve mechanism 60 and a control device 70. Part of the specific piping is disposed within the catalyst. The control device executes first control processing for closing the valve mechanism when a temperature of the catalyst is a preset first reference temperature or lower and executes second control processing for opening the valve mechanism when the temperature of the catalyst is higher than a second reference temperature preset as a temperature that is equal to or higher than the first reference temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
