To provide exhaust emission control method, an exhaust gas filter and an exhaust gas filter purifying device which reduce a particulate capturing rate on an outer peripheral part of the exhaust gas filter, and prevents remaining of combustible materials at the time of regeneration.
For exhaust emission control, blocking portions 4 are formed on one end of each of through-hole partitions 2 which are formed in a honeycomb shape integrally with an outer peripheral wall 1, and each of through-holes 3 partitioned by the partitions 2. An exhaust gas filter on which the blocking portions are formed in a lattice-like form is used for purifying exhaust gas. In this case, a particulates capturing rate in the through-hole 3 and the through- hole partition 2 adjacent to the outer peripheral wall 1 is less than that in other portions. The exhaust gas filter has on its one end face second blocking portions 5 formed on the through-holes 3 adjacent to the outer peripheral wall 1 and blocking portion 4.
