Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress wasteful fuel consumption by NOx purge or SOx purge.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control system includes a NOx reduction type catalyst 32 disposed in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine 10 and reducing and purifying NOx in exhaust air, and a control portion 50 executing regeneration treatment to recover a NOx purification capacity of the NOx reduction type catalyst 32 by keeping an exhaust air-fuel ratio in a rich state by exhaust air rich injection implementing at least one of an exhaust pipe injection and post injection. The control portion 50 terminates the regeneration treatment when a first condition that the NOx purification capacity of the NOx reduction type catalyst 32 is recovered by the regeneration treatment or a second condition that a cumulative injection amount of the exhaust air rich injection accumulated from the start of the regeneration treatment reaches a prescribed upper limit injection amount, is established.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
