Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system capable of effectively preventing a failure of an injector when forcibly regenerating a PM trapping filter.SOLUTION: If a PM trapping filter 6 is not being forcibly regenerated, when a temperature Tb of a front end part 4b of an injector 4 inserted into an exhaust pipe 2 of a diesel engine 1 exceeds a preset first threshold value X or when an integrated value ΣTa of a temperature Ta of a body part 4a of the injector 4 exceeds a preset second threshold value Y, an ECU 9 controls unburnt fuel 10 to be injected from the injector 4 at a preset interval for every increment in the travel distance of a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
