Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an adhering and trapping type exhaust filter in which lattice-like metal plates are cylindrically laminated, and exhaust gas flows from the inner periphery to the outer periphery thereof, and which traps exhaust gas in the inner peripheral part thereof, and can make the compessional condition uniform in its circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:Lattice-like metal plates 8 constituting a cylindrical filter element 6 are laminated one upon another. The density of the lattice of the metal plate 8 is large in the inner peripheral part than that in the outer peripheral part, and the ratio between the inter lattice distance in each metal plate layer and the radius of the cylinder of the metal plate 8 is constant. The cross points 11 of the lattices of adjacent metal plate layers are shifted in the peripheral direction by a degree which is one-half of the interlattice distance.
