To provide an exhaust gas analyzing device capable of solving the problems inherent in the conventional technique effectively.
The exhaust gas in a smoke duct 1 is passed through a bypass duct 2 and a specimen lead-in pipe 6 and fed to a dust filter 14 and a specimen trap 16. At this time, the constituent elements located in the passage for the exhaust gas are heated to around 120°C. In case the rate of flow lies under the specified level, changeover is made to another dust filter 14 and another specimen trap 16. This is heated to get rid of dioxins, etc., attached to the dust, and the dioxins are trapped in a first cryofocus 19. Again the internal standard specimen liquid is introduced, and the substances are quickly heated so as to separate the dioxins. The separated dioxins are in the specified quantity trapped in a second cryofocus 23 and heated again, and again the dioxins are separated. The obtained dioxins are fed to an MS 25 to be subjected to an analysis.
