Abstract:

To provide an exhaust gas combustion device capable of efficiently removing decomposition product of precursor fiber accumulated in a flow channel of an exhaust gas distributed to the exhaust gas combustion device from the baking furnace for manufacturing carbon fiber, and being stably operated.

This exhaust gas combustion device includes an exhaust gas outlet 4 formed on the bottom of the baking furnace 2 for the exhaust gas generated in the baking furnace, a first exhaust gas flow channel 5a connected to the exhaust gas outlet 4 and extending upward at the outside of the baking furnace 2, and a second exhaust gas flow channel 6a communicated with an exhaust gas inlet 3a opened toward an exhaust gas combustion chamber 3. An exhaust gas flow rate regulation valve 7 is disposed on an intersecting section of the first exhaust gas flow channel 5a and the second exhaust gas flow channel 6a. A through-hole 7d penetrating toward the exhaust gas inlet 3a is formed on a valve body 7a of the exhaust gas flow rate regulation valve, and a rod-shaped decomposition product removing member 9 having an operating section 9a extending to the external from the first exhaust gas flow channel 5a, and a rod body 9b, is inserted to the through-hole 7d movably forward and backward in the second exhaust gas flow channel 6a.
