Abstract:
To provide a combustion tower capable of separating scraps or dust contained in an exhaust gas to a satisfactory extent in a simple structure.
This combustion tower is provided with an inlet duct 11 of exhaust gas, which settles out and separates scraps or dust from an exhaust gas generated in a melting furnace of a scrap melting electric furnace or the like and an outlet duct 12. In this case, the tip of the outlet duct 12 is extended into the combustion tower while a downward opening 14 is formed at the tip at the position lower than the elevation of the inlet duct 11.
