Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas device that can reduce the possibility of unintended formation of condensation water and/or formation of deposit and that can reduce necessary energy consumption.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas device for an internal combustion engine includes: an exhaust gas line 2 in which a pipe wall 4 of an exhaust gas pipe 3 defines an exhaust passage 6 for guiding an exhaust gas flow 7 on the inner surface 5; and at least one electric heater 18 for heating at least one longitudinal portion of the exhaust gas pipe 3. The heater 18 has a heater coil 21, and the heater coil is wound a plurality of times around each longitudinal portion on an outer surface 22 of the pipe wall 4 of the exhaust gas pipe 3. Each heater coil 21 includes a conductor 23 comprising a resistance heating material, and an electric insulator 24 is disposed between the conductor and the outer surface 22 of the pipe wall 4. The heater 18 includes a heat insulating exterior 25, and the exterior surrounds the exhaust gas pipe 3 in the region of the heater coil 21.
