To provide an exhaust gas flow measuring device for an internal combustion engine which can measure a desired exhaust gas flow rate without causing a time lag between other gas analyzer.
In this device, a gas sampling passage 7 for supplying a sample gas S to a gas analyzer 11 is connected to an exhaust passage 3 being connected to an internal combustion engine 2 and a trace gas analyzer 13 is disposed in this gas sampling passage 7 and trace gas concentration when the trace gas is introduced in the upstream from a connecting point of the gas sampling passage 7 to the exhaust passage 3 is measured by a trace gas analyzer 13 and an exhaust gas flow rate of the internal combustion engine is measured based on this trace gas concentration and introduced quantity of the trance gas. In this case, the gas sampling passage 7 and the trance gas analyzer 13 are connected to a narrow tube 14 which has a proper inner diameter.
