Abstract:
To convert exhaust gas pressure of a prime mover into rotary force of a turbine and recover energy of the exhaust gas as power.
The "device for recovering exhaust gas pressure of a prime mover as power" is constituted of a branch part equipped to an exhaust pipe 6 of an engine 1, a turbine 3 coupled to one of exhaust pipes connected to the branch part, and a control valve 7 for separating exhaust gas inside the branch part. Rotational force obtained by assembling this device to the engine 1 of an automobile is input to the drive of the engine 1. Thereby, energy possessed by the exhaust gas is recovered as power.
