Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas processing method in a zinc oxide ore production plant capable of efficiently and surely removing mercury from an exhaust gas exhausted from a zinc oxide ore production plant without increasing facility cost and the like.SOLUTION: In an exhaust gas processing method in a zinc oxide ore production plant 1,: activated carbon is blown into an exhaust gas exhausted by processing producing coarse zinc oxide dust by the reduction firing of steel dust; mercury contained in the steel dust is adsorbed in the activated carbon and recovered together with the coarse zinc oxide dust; wet processing is performed to a recovered material containing the coarse zinc oxide dust and the activated carbon in which mercury is adsorbed and a coarse zinc oxide cake is produced; mercury contained in the coarse zinc oxide cake is volatilized by firing the coarse zinc oxide cake; an oxidizer is sprayed into an exhaust gas containing volatilized mercury; and mercury is oxidized and removed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
