Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification apparatus for a gasoline direct injection engine including a gasoline particle filter, which can efficiently scavenge a hydrocarbon generated immediately after starting a gasoline direct injection engine.SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purification apparatus for a gasoline direct injection engine including a gasoline particle filter includes: a filter substrate; a gasoline particle filter coating layer that is formed on an exhaust gas inflow side surface of the filter substrate and that includes a mixture including two zeolites; a catalyst coating layer that is formed on an exhaust gas outflow side surface of the filter substrate and that includes a catalytic metal. In the exhaust gas purification apparatus, the mixture including the two zeolites includes MFI and FAU at a weight ratio of MFI:FAU=1:1 to 1:2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
