Abstract:
To provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst device using a base material including ceria-zirconia composite oxide particles as one of constituent materials, which achieves both high warming-up performance and high-level exhaust gas purification capability.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purification catalyst device includes a base material and one kind or two or more kinds of catalyst precious metals carried on the base material. The base material includes a plurality of cells divided by a porous wall 1 and ceria-zirconia composite oxide particles. A specific precious metal that is one of one kind or two or more kinds of catalyst precious metals satisfies both of the following requirements (1) and (2). The requirement (1) is that a precious metal 50%-carrying depth in the specific precious metal is not more than 30% a distance from a surface of the porous wall 1 to a center of an interior of the porous wall 1. The requirement (2) is that a precious metal 90%-carrying depth in the specific precious metal is not less than 35% the distance from the surface of the porous wall 1 to the center of the interior of the porous wall 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
