Abstract:
There is provided an exhaust gas emission purifying catalyst that comprises a catalyst layer (20) supported on a carrier (10), in which a composite oxide is added and noble metals and occluding agents are mixed in order to inhibit the movement of the occluding agents even at high temperatures and prevent deterioration of the purifying performance of the catalyst after operation at a high temperature. The composite oxide comprises silicon (Si) and at least one of cobalt (Co), zirconium (Zr), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn).
