Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve startability at the time of a low temperature while reducing the exhaust rate of NOx by controlling the temperature in a cylinder by controlling the rate of air toward a scavenging blower while re-circulating exhaust gas which is discharged to an air feed flow passage.
SOLUTION: In EGR control, engine speed is detected by engine speed signal (a) outputted from an engine speed sensor 17. The load of an engine 1 is detected from a step-down signal (c) outputted from an accelerating sensor 19. A cooling water temperature is detected from a water temperature signal (b) outputted from a water temperature sensor 18. A map is retrieved from its detected engine speed and the load so as to decide an opening fundamental value. The value is corrected on the basis of the detected cooling water temperature so as to decide openings of a final EGR valve and an intake throttle valve 16. A scavenging rate is controlled by the intake throttle valve 16, and an EGR rate is controlled by the EGR valve 13, and thereby, it is possible to prevent rising of the temperature in a combustion chamber 9.
