A cooler passage and a bypass passage are formed in parallel as passages for circulating EGR gas to an intake system, a flow regulating valve is provided for varying a ratio of flow rates in both the passages, and a passage sectional-area reduced part is provided in, for instance, the bypass passage so that a pressure loss coefficient of the cooler passage becomes the same with a pressure loss coefficient of the bypass passage. As both the pressure loss coefficients of the cooler passage and the bypass passage are made the same with each other, by making flow rates flowing into both passages the same, respective flow rates flowing out of both the passages can be made the same. As a flow rate variation relative to an opening degree variation can be made the same in both passages, the respective flow rates can be regulated only with magnitudes of respective opening degrees to the respective passages by the flow regulating valve.
