Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely trap foreign matters in exhaust gas flowing in a recirculation passage.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation device 10 includes: a recirculation passage connected to an exhaust passage 30 and an intake passage 31 to return exhaust gas taken in from the exhaust passage 30 to the intake passage 31; a front stage filter 12 provided in the recirculation passage to remove foreign matters included in exhaust gas; and a rear stage filter 20 that is arranged downstream of the front stage filter 12 provided in the recirculation passage and of which opening area is narrowed to respond to increase in clogging of the front stage filter 12. When the foreign matters trapped in the front stage filter 12 have flowed on the downstream side, the foreign matters that have flowed are trapped again by the rear stage filter 20 of which opening area is narrowed, so as to prevent the foreign matters from entering into an engine E.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
