Abstract:

To provide an exhaust gas recirculation system which can supply intake gas mixed with recirculated exhaust gas to an engine at a desired intake temperature to improve fuel consumption of the engine.

The exhaust gas recirculation system 1A includes: a turbocharger 2; a high-pressure intake air passage 10 connecting between a compressor 2a of the turbocharger 2 and an intake port of the engine 5; a charge air cooler 3 provided in the high-pressure intake air passage 10 and cooling the intake gas using a sub cooling circulation circuit 20; a high-pressure exhaust gas passage 11 connecting between an exhaust port of the engine 5 and a turbine 2b of the turbocharger 2; an exhaust gas reflux passage 12 branched from the high-pressure exhaust gas passage 11 and connected to the high-pressure intake air passage 10; and an exhaust gas cooler 4 provided in the exhaust gas reflux passage 12 and cooling exhaust gas using a cooling circulation circuit 30 of the engine 5. The exhaust gas reflux passage 12 is connected to the high-pressure intake air passage 10 at an upstream position of the charge air cooler 3.
