Abstract:
To provide an exhaust gas recirculation system for improving an NOx reduction rate and for reducing engine oil consumption.
A recirculation pipe (an EGR pipe 7) which a recirculation gas (an EGR gas) is passing through communicates with an intake port 3. The intake port 3 is provided with a recirculation gas inflow direction control mechanism 30 restricting an inflow direction of the recirculation gas so that swirl is generated in a region in the vicinity of a cylinder inner wall 2a when the recirculation gas flows into a cylinder 2.
