Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treating device and method for detoxicating environmental hormone being harmful material of a halogenated aromatic compound or the like such as dioxins contained in the exhaust gas exhausted, for example, from municipal refuse incinerator or the like.
SOLUTION: In this exhaust gas treating device for removing the harmful materials in the exhaust gas exhausted from the incinerator, a pyrolytic furnace or a melting furnace, a front stage side bag filter 12 for collecting soot and dust in the exhaust gas 11 and a rear stage side bag filter 14 provided on the down stream side of the front stage side bag filter 12 and for desulfurizing and desalting the exhaust gas by a neutralizing reaction with the charge of a neutralizing agent 13 and collecting the soot and dust in the exhaust gas 11 are integrated into one body, and a part of the exhaust gas containing the soot and dust is released to the rear stage side bag filter 14.
