To provide an exhaust gas treatment device capable of properly trapping popcorn ash.
An exhaust gas treatment device is provided with an exhaust gas pipe 48 which allows a combustion gas to flow therethrough, a heat recovery part which is provided at the exhaust gas pipe 48 and can recover heat from the exhaust gas, a harmful substance removal part which is provided at a downstream side in the direction of an exhaust gas flow from a heat recovery part in the exhaust gas pipe 48 and can remove harmful substances in the exhaust gas, and a popcorn ash trapping part 61 which is provided between the heat recovery part and the harmful substance removal part in the exhaust gas pipe 48 and can trap popcorn ash in the exhaust gas. The popcorn ash trapping part 61 has a plurality of inclined trapping surfaces 66 (66a, 66b, 66c, 66d, 66e, 66f) inclined at predetermined angles with respect to the direction of the exhaust gas flow in which an incline angle θ1 of the inclined trapping surface 66a disposed toward the center in the width direction of the exhaust gas pipe 48 is smaller than an incline angle θ6 of the inclined trapping surface 66f disposed towards the end.
