To provide an exhaust gas treating facility capable of stably, quickly and accurately treating exhaust gas discharged from a metal melting furnace with flow rate and temperature fluctuating widely, and containing dioxin and highly flammable dust.
The treating facility leads exhaust gas from the melting furnace 1 through a first exhaust gas duct 11, and includes a cyclone 2 and a bag filter 3 for catching dust. In the first exhaust gas duct, first and second water spraying nozzles 21, 22 are arranged sequentially, an outside air introduction duct 14 is connected to the downstream side thereof, a chemical supply pipe 15 for supplying a chemical containing a dioxin adsorbent is connected to a second exhaust gas duct 12 between the cyclone 2 and the bag filter 3, a control device 27 is provided for controlling the water spray amount from each of the water spray nozzles 21, 22 provided in the first exhaust gas duct based on the exhaust gas amount and the exhaust gas temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the melting furnace 1, and the exhaust gas amount is estimated based on the fuel amount of a heating burner provided in the melting furnace 1 and based on top pressure in the furnace.
