Abstract:
To provide an exhaust gas processing device and an exhaust gas processing method which perform adsorption/removal processing to exhaust gas containing mercury exhausted from a furnace, under adequate supply amounts of active charcoal so that mercury concentration in the exhaust gas is below a set value, even if an oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas varies.SOLUTION: The exhaust gas processing device comprises: a dust collector 3 that performs processing for removing exhaust gas from a furnace 1; an active charcoal supply device 5 that blows active charcoal to an exhaust gas flow path A through which the exhaust gas is introduced from the furnace to the dust collector; an oxygen concentration meter 7 that measures an oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas, at a downstream side of the furnace 1 and at an upstream side of the dust collector 3; and a control device 5 that controls supply amounts of active charcoal of the active charcoal supply device. The control device 5 controls the supply amounts of the active charcoal on the basis of a predetermined correspondence relation between the measured value of the oxygen concentration and the supply amounts of active charcoal so that a mercury concentration at the downstream side in the exhaust gas at the downstream side of the dust collector 3 is below a preset value, on the basis of the measured value of the oxygen concentration by the oxygen concentration meter 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
