Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide exhaust gas treatment equipment and an exhaust gas treatment method that enable exhaust of black smoke to be suppressed by collecting dust from exhaust gas exhausted from furnace equipment and at the same time prevent abnormal combustion of exhaust gas within a flue even when the dust collecting treatment for exhaust gas is rapidly stopped due to unforeseen contingency.SOLUTION: Furnace equipment and a chimney 15 are communicated with each other by a flue 2 which is branched to a main flue 3 for guiding exhaust gas G1 from furnace equipment through a dust collector 9 to a prescribed location within the chimney 15 and a sub flue 4 for guiding the exhaust gas G1 from the furnace equipment without passing through the dust collector 9 to a lower location as compared with the prescribed location within the chimney 15. The sub flue 4 is always opened for a period in which the exhaust gas G1 should be exhausted, the exhaust gas G1 is sucked along the main flue 3 to the dust collector 9 and at the same time exhaust gas G2 from which dust has been collected by the dust collector 9 is fed into the chimney 15 along the main flue 3 and a pressure in the chimney on the chimney side at an interface portion between the chimney 15 and the sub flue 4 is made higher as compared with the pressure on the sub flue side.
