To clean an exhaust gas by suppressing formation of residual organic contaminants like dioxins in the exhaust gas from a cement manufacturing apparatus.
In the exhaust gas treating method for the cement manufacturing apparatus, the exhaust gas generated from the cement manufacturing apparatus equipped with a preheater 3 containing vertical multi-staged cyclones 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, a rotary kiln 5 and a clinker cooler 6 is treated. The treating method comprises processes for: (A) introducing the exhaust gas generated during baking clinker in the rotary kiln 5 into the preheater 3; and (B) feeding the high temperature oxygen-containing exhaust gas generated during cooling the clinker baked in the rotary kiln 5 in the clinker cooler 6 into the preheater 3.
