To provide an exhaust heat recovery system for a marine engine, and its control method capable of suppressing fuel costs and COemission by suppressing fluctuation of a pressure of an evaporated gas supplied to an expander, and minimizing a heat charging amount from the external, in the exhaust heat recovery system of the marine engine converting heat energy of an exhaust gas of the marine engine including a supercharger into mechanical energy by the expander.SOLUTION: A flow rate of a working medium S supplied to an expander 25 is adjusted and controlled to cope with fluctuation of a demand amount of mechanical energy converted by the expander 25, and a flow rate of an exhaust gas Gb bypassing an exhaust turbine 12t of a marine engine 10 is adjusted and controlled on the basis of a valve opening β of a first steam flow rate control valve 27 for adjusting the flow rate of the working medium S supplied to the expander 25 or the demand amount to mechanical energy, to adjust a temperature Teg of an exhaust gas G supplied to an evaporator 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
