To provide a waste heat utilizing system formed by connecting a waste heat generating apparatus to a waste heat utilizing apparatus by a waste heat carrying path, capable of operating the waste heat generating apparatus in accordance with a need for operation, adjusting a supply-demand balance of waste heat, and fully utilizing waste heat, and its operating method.
This waste heat utilizing system is equipped with the waste heat generating apparatus, the waste heat utilizing apparatus, the waste heat carrying path connecting the waste heat generating apparatus to the waste heat utilizing apparatus, and a control device. The control device has an excessive supplied waste heat amount determining function to determine that an excessive amount of waste heat is supplied, a small supplied waste heat amount determining function to determine that an excessively small amount of waste heat is supplied, a function to deal with a condition in which the excessive amount of waste heat is supplied, and a function to deal with a condition in which the excessively small amount of waste heat is supplied.
