Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust muffler structure of a general purpose engine capable of stabilizing the operation of an exhaust control valve.SOLUTION: An exhaust muffler structure 20 is divided into first-third chambers 55-57, and the second and third chambers 56 and 57 are communicated by two secondary pipes 51 and 52. An exhaust control valve 35 is disposed on the third chamber 57, and the exhaust control valve 35 is mechanically interlocked to a mechanical governor 15 by a coupling portion 37. The exhaust control valve 35 is disposed at a close position when an engine 11 is at low rotations to block the second secondary pipe 52, and disposed at an open position when the engine 11 is at high rotations to open the second secondary pipe 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
