Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust muffling device which can suitably suppress the resonance noise of exhaust even if an installation position of a muffler is restricted by an underfloor layout of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An exhaust muffling device has a muffler 14 that is a silencer, and a throttle part 15 which locally decreases a passage cross section of an exhaust passage 10. The muffler 14 is arranged at the downstream side of a position in which a distance of from an upstream end of the exhaust passage 10 is two third of an exhaust passage entire length L in the exhaust passage. The throttle part 15 is arranged at a downstream end of the exhaust passage 10, and moves a position of a belly part at a downstream side of a sound pressure vibration waveform of two-node air column resonance with the whole of the exhaust passage 10 as an air column to a side approximate to an installation position of the muffler 14 by decreasing the passage cross section of the exhaust passage 10 at the downstream end smaller than a position in which a distance from an upstream end of the exhaust passage 10 is one third of the exhaust passage entire length L in the exhaust passage.
