Title:
EXHAUST OZONE GAS DECOMPOSITION APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05154344
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To keep catalytic treatment capacity over a long period of time by arranging a pretreatment tower on the upstream side of a catalyst tower to pack the same with an adsorbent adsorbing the component bonded to a catalyst and washing the same with hot water when a definite amount of the adsorbed and bonded component on the catalyst is accumulated.

CONSTITUTION: Exhaust ozone gas enters a collector 4 from piping 5 and, after a part of the waterdrops in the exhaust ozone gas is collected, said gas passes through a pretreatment tower 9 from piping 3 through a solenoid valve 10. At this time, the component bonded to a catalyst is adsorbed by the adsorbent 8 received in the pretreatment tower 9 and, thereafter, the exhaust ozone gas enters a catalyst tower 2 through a solenoid valve 7 and the ozone gas is separated by the catalyst 1 in the tower 2. When treatment is performed for a definite time, the component bonded to the catalyst is accumulated on the adsorbent 8 and, therefore, the solenoid valves 7, 10 are closed at every definite time and a solenoid valve 14 is opened to supply the hot water heated by a heater 11 to the pretreatment tower 9 by a pump 13. The adsorbed substance is dissolved and separated from the adsorbent 8 and, thereafter, a solenoid valve 15 is opened to drain the dissolved and separated substance. After the washing of the adsorbent is completed, the regular treatment of exhaust gas is again performed.
