Title:
EXHAUST PARTICULATE MEASURING DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008261322
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an exhaust particulate measuring device of an internal combustion engine capable of maintaining measuring accuracy without having influence on the operation state of the engine.

This exhaust particulate measuring device has a PM sensor 70 including an oxidation catalyst 73 arranged in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, a heater 71 burning PM deposited on the oxidation catalyst 73 by heating the oxidation catalyst 73 and a temperature sensor 72 detecting the temperature of the oxidation catalyst 73, and an ECU 4 estimating a deposit quantity of the PM based on the temperature of the oxidation catalyst 73 in combustion of the PM, and has a bypass passage 36b bypassing exhaust gas from the PM sensor 70 in operation of the heater 71, and a switching valve 81.
