A short pipe 2 is fitted around an upstream side exhaust pipe 1, an exhaust upstream side end part 3 of the short pipe 2 is welded to the upstream side exhaust pipe 1, and an upstream side flange member 7 is welded to a extended diameter part 6 of an exhaust downstream side end part 5 of the short pipe 2. A downstream side exhaust pipe 14 is arranged on the exhaust gas downstream side of the upstream side exhaust pipe 1 so as to face the upstream side exhaust pipe 1, and a downstream side flange member 16 is welded to the exhaust upstream side pipe end 15 of the downstream exhaust pipe 14. A seal member 12 provided with a projecting spherical surface 11 is fitted around the exhaust downstream side pipe end 10a of the upstream side exhaust pipe 1, and the upstream side exhaust pipe 1 and the downstream side exhaust pipe 14 are connected to each other through the seal member 12.
