Abstract:
To efficiently use ozone in oxidizing and removing a PM using the ozone.
An oxidizing catalyst 20, a DPF 30, and a NOxcatalyst 50 are connected in series, and the ozone is supplied through the DPF 30 and the catalyst 50 from an ozone supply nozzle 40. Because the PM of the DPF 30 is purified by NO2from the catalyst 20 provided upstream the DPF 30, the consumption of the ozone caused by predetermined matters such as NOxand HC in the exhaust gas can be more suppressed than in the case where the ozone is supplied upstream the DPF 30, and the decomposition of the ozone caused by the heat of the exhaust gas can be suppressed. Therefore, this allows the ozone to be efficiently used to improve the purification efficiency of the PM by the ozone.
