Abstract:

To prevent the problem wherein ammonia of high concentration slips from a selective reduction type catalyst by the sudden temperature rise in the selective reduction type catalyst during forced regeneration of a particulate filter.

This exhaust purification device has a temperature adjusting means 30 for holding a temperature rise in the selective reduction type catalyst 5 in a set gradient so that the ammonia concentration in exhaust gas 3 flowing in the selective reduction type catalyst 5 becomes the concentration suitable for reducing and eliminating NOx in the exhaust gas 3 when forcibly regenerating the particulate filter 14, and balances an NOx quantity and an ammonia quantity in the selective reduction type catalyst 5.
