Abstract:
To provide an exhaust emission control device which can reduce a frequency of a rich purge, and can minimize a NOx discharge amount and fuel consumption.SOLUTION: In an exhaust emission control device having catalyst devices arranged in an exhaust passage to which an exhaust gas is discharged from an internal combustion engine, the catalyst device 1A using a three-dimensional catalyst 3 is arranged in the exhaust gas passage 2, the catalyst device 1B using an occlusion reduction type NOx catalyst 4 is arranged at a downstream side of the catalyst device using the three-dimensional catalyst 3, the catalyst device 1A using the three-dimensional catalyst 3 is constituted so that a low-performance portion 5A whose low-temperature activity of OSC is relatively low is arranged along a longitudinal direction of an outlet from an inlet in a part of a face orthogonal to a flow of the exhaust gas, and the occlusion reduction type NOx catalyst 4 arranged at a downstream side of the three-dimensional catalyst 3 is made to generate a deemed low-performance portion 5B. Discharge NOx amount detection means 6 for estimating or detecting a discharge NOx amount discharged from the internal combustion engine is arranged at a downstream side of an exhaust gas flow direction of the catalyst device 1B using the occlusion reduction type NOx catalyst 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
