Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve responsiveness of exhaust reflux control and prevent occurrence of malfunction of a motor by setting a driving frequency of a step motor high when pressure difference across an exhaust circulation valve is small.
CONSTITUTION: Pressure difference across an exhaust reflux valve 5 is sensed by means of a pressure difference sensor 18. A coil temperature sensor 19 senses a temperature of a coil of a step motor 6. In an exhaust reflux valve 5 with the step motor 6 being an actuator, a reference frequency is set higher in a table as the pressure difference across the exhaust circulation valve 5 is small. As the coil temperature sensed by the coil temperature sensor 19 is high, maintenance current to be supplied to the step motor at the stoppage of the exhaust reflux valve 5 based on the coil temperature is set higher. The reference frequency is corrected to be a smaller value.
