Abstract:
To cool an exhaust system at a rear side of an engine by a simple structure by using an exhaust wind of an engine fan which is arranged in front of a longitudinal engine, and driven by the engine, in at least one embodiment of this invention.SOLUTION: In an exhaust system cooling structure of an engine in which the longitudinal engine 9 is arranged in an engine room 7 of a vehicle 1, an engine fan 11 driven by the longitudinal engine is arranged in front of the longitudinal engine, and an exhaust system is cooled by an exhaust wind from the engine fan, a guide plate 37 extending to a fore-and-aft direction is arranged along a side face of an engine main body 15 of the longitudinal engine 9, and a receiving part 37a for receiving the exhaust wind from the engine fan to a front end part, and a guide part 37b for guiding the exhaust wind received by the receiving part to the exhaust system which is arranged behind the engine main body are arranged at the guide plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
