To provide an exhaust system heat exchanger in which the restriction of a shell on the structure is reduced.
This exhaust system heat exchanger 10 comprises the shell 34 formed of a resin material or a rubber material, an intermediate pipe 26 having an upstream end communicating with an exhaust pipe 14 and installed in the shell 34, an interlock pipe 38 installed on the inside of the intermediate pipe 26 and having an upstream end and a downstream end each of which is disposed on the outside of the shell 34, and a flow passage selector valve 24 capable of opening/closing the interlock pipe 38. The intermediate pipe 26 forms a refrigerant flow passage 36 between the intermediate pipe and the shell 34, and a heat medium flow passage 42 in which an exhaust gas can be circulated between the heat medium flow passage and the interlock pipe 38.
