Abstract:

To provide an exhaust throttle control device for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger capable of improving fuel economy and securing drivability by exhaust-supercharging in a wide operating range without deteriorating the reliability of an exhaust supercharger.

The exhaust throttle control device is attached to an engine with a supercharger including an exhaust turbocharger, an exhaust throttle valve 44 narrowing an exhaust gas passage at a downstream side of the supercharger, and an EGR valve 52 re-circulating exhaust gas from the exhaust gas passage side to an intake air passage side at an upstream side of the exhaust throttle valve 44, and controls the opening and closing action of the exhaust throttle valve 44. The device includes a low speed opening and closing control part 102 controlling the opening and closing action speed of the exhaust throttle valve 44 to low speed in a specific opening range so as to keep opening change speed in the specific opening range of the exhaust throttle valve 44 lower than opening change speed out of the specific opening range.
