PURPOSE: To perform control such that operation of an exhaust valve sufficiently follows up the number of revolutions of an engine even when an engine is accelerated, especially when it is rapidly accelerated.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust timing control device is formed such that an exhaust valve 26 is arranged in the exhaust port of an engine 10 and a centrifugal governor mechanism 40a operated in linkage with a crank shaft 24 is provided, and the exhaust valve 26 is driven by the centrifugal governor mechanism 40a according to the number of revolution of an engine. The exhaust timing control device comprises an acceleration detecting means 40b to detect the acceleration state of the engine; and an operation means 40b to change an exhaust timing earlier than the centrifugal governor alone.
