This exhaust treatment system is provided with a hood 1 opened indoors 2 to collect floating oil; an outdoor blower unit 5 having an exhaust fan 8 and an exhaust port 7 opened outdoors 6 to exhaust air; a treating unit 13 treating oil collected by the outdoor blower unit 5; and an opening/closing means 16 provided in an oil lead-in passage 15 serving for communication between the outdoor blower unit 5 and the treating unit 13, and opened only when it is determined that a fixed amount of oil is stored in an oil sump 12 regardless of the operation of the exhaust fan 8.
