To prevent the white fuming of an exhaust gas before happening in starting the traveling after an idling state is continued for a long time, with respect to a vehicle comprising a catalyst regeneration type particulate filter in the middle of an exhaust pipe.
This device comprises an idling determining means (rotation sensor 17, accelerator sensor 16, neutral switch 22, side brake switch 23 and car speed sensor 24) for determining that the vehicle is in an idling state, an exhaust temperature rising means (exhaust brake 21, fuel injection device 18 and control device 15) for rising the temperature of the exhaust gas 9 to more than a specific temperature at an upstream side with respect to the particulate filter 12, and a temperature sensor 20 for measuring an intake air temperature 20 for measuring the intake air temperature, and the exhaust temperature rising means is intermittently operated by determining a specific interval on the basis of the intake air temperature, when the continuation of the idling state for more than the specific time, is confirmed.
